Welcome to Sage Space!

Welcome to Sage Space

It was an exciting week for the Wisdom team as we announced the company and went live on our website. Thank you to so many that reached out offering support and relaying your personal stories.

This week, the onset of daylight-saving time and the delightful sound of birds chirping have signaled the arrival of spring across many areas. This seasonal change inspires opening windows, embracing fresh air outdoors, and tackling some of those postponed winter home projects!

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead,

Spring Into Action: Home & Health Tune-Up

As the days grow longer, spring signals the perfect opportunity to refresh our surroundings and reinvigorate our physical well-being.

Declutter Delights: Tidying up isn't just good for the soul; it's an excellent physical activity. Turning decluttering into a light workout, reaching, stretching, and moving items doubles as effective exercise. This method transforms tidying up into a fun exercise for boosting your agility and strength.

Sit & Fit: For those who prefer or need seated options, chair exercises can significantly boost strength and flexibility. Integrate seated marches, leg lifts, and upper body movements into your daily chair workout. These exercises can be done while watching your favorite evening news program or during a quick daytime break. Please remember check in with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program.

Fresh Air, Fresh Perspectives: Did you know that opening the windows does more than just freshen up your home—it can uplift your mood. Fresh air increases your blood's oxygen levels, enhancing oxygen delivery to the brain. This boost can stimulate the release of serotonin, the "feel-good" hormone, contributing to higher energy levels, happiness, and mood stability.

Quote of the week:

The secret to staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age." – Lucille Ball

Ask Puddy! Welcome all Wisdom friends to Sage Space!

I will be writing in this space to help create a dialogue among us on topics we are interested in exploring. One of the topics in last week’s newsletter was that we need to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. However, as we age some people have difficulty drinking just water because it does not have a thickness. There is a solution to this. There is a product called Thick It. As the product name suggests, Thick It can add a little more substance to the water. Easy solution to staying hydrated. I learned about this tip from a member of our Wisdom group!

Please start a dialogue with us and we can gain some inspiration and information.

As David Bowie said, “aging is an extraordinary process where you become the person you always should have been” Has anyone experienced this process? I am still struggling with what I want to be when I grow up. There is a place right here that you can weigh in. Let’s start sharing our questions, thoughts, and wisdom – please email me at Ask Puddy – puddy@mywisdom.io
