The Wisdom Journey

In November 2020, Cathy and Dawn met face-to-face for the first time for a COVID-era outdoor lunch. They realized they had much in common— demanding executive jobs, children living in and out of the home, and aging parents.

Fast forward 3 years, over dinner in NYC, Cathy and Dawn acknowledged their attention had increasingly turned to worrying about their aging parents. Cathy’s father had passed away and her mother was struggling living alone. Dawn’s Dad had knee surgery, and her parents were overwhelmed with organizing daily tasks.

They recognized the necessity of finding a solution. Cathy and Dawn knew that with the right technology designed with empathy, they could help more than just their parents… And set out to build an amazing company together.

  • What is Wisdom?

    Wisdom.io Inc. is a company formed in 2023 to address the challenges that families face when caring for older adults. The system includes software and hardware components crafted specifically for older adults who want to age in place. Wisdom.io is currently only available in the United States.

  • What is aging in place?

    According to the National Institute on Aging, aging in place means staying in your own home as you get older. However, many adults and their families have concerns about safety, getting around and other daily activities, therefore living at home as you age requires careful consideration and planning.

  • Why is Wisdom being developed?

    By 2030 the US will have 73 million people over the age of 65 with 87 percent preferring to age in the home they love. Wisdom aims to address the challenges of aging in place with its thoughtfully designed, simple-to-use, system. Wisdom is being developed to give older adults and their trusted circle or caregivers confidence in the decision to live at home longer.

  • How does Wisdom work?

    Wisdom is a user-friendly system that resides in the home of older adults and connects with a mobile application designed for their caregivers. It facilitates communication and alerts and offers insights into daily routines that help identify when extra help is needed. It seamlessly integrates into the home with Smart TVs, tablets, and computers.

    Wisdom.io Inc. takes privacy very seriously in the design and development of our products. Privacy of customer data, trust and transparency are at the forefront of Wisdom’s mission.

  • What is Wisdom’s Early Access Program?
